JOB DESCRIPTION: Part-time librarian is responsible for the following: attend required orientation sessions; maintaining daily operations and services at the campus library; providing circulation, reference, and research services; providing bibliographic instruction to students in classes and one-on-one; answering telephones and face to face inquires that may require interpretations of routine policies, rules, and regulations; requesting maintenance of library environment and equipment as needed; other duties as assigned. Hours: weekday daytime and evening hours until 7pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Master of Library Science degree or closely related field

·         Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

·         Knowledge of web-based catalogs, GALILEO, and automated circ systems.

·         Knowledge of computers, software, and word processing

·         Ability to do detailed work accurately plus the ability to work independently

·         Ability to learn and accurately interpret established library procedures and regulations

·         Able to work through constant interruptions and exhibit a friendly, helpful attitude

·         Knowledge of bibliographic areas related to college programs beneficial

SALARY/BENEFITS:  Salary is $22.00 per hour/19 hours maximum; No benefits.  Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
