  • Viterbo University invites applications for a Part-Time Evening Circulation Supervisor for the Todd Wehr Memorial Library. This 12-month, 28 hours a week position assists in the operation of the library's Main Desk areas: circulation, interlibrary loan, supervision of student workers, and departmental data collection. The schedule is 2 p.m.-10 p.m. Sundays and 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays during the academic calendar. During breaks, the schedule is generally noon-5p.m. Mondays-Fridays. This position reports directly to the Circulation Manager.

**Responsibilities:**Responsible for opening and closing the library Sunday and closing the library Monday-Thursday evenings with a schedule that reflects the campus calendar.

  • Promotes an open, welcoming, and cooperative environment through interactions with Viterbo students, staff, and faculty via phone, email, and in-person at the library's Main Desk.
  • Assists with interlibrary loan processing.
  • Compiles various monthly statistics.
  • Assists with training and supervision of student employees.
  • Participates in library and circulation department planning and projects.
  • Assists with maintenance of the library building through work orders, keeping supplies in stock, and other various upkeep.
  • Participates in both library and campus-wide events, committees, and meetings to enhance the employee and student experience.
  • Digitizes media that instructors request for classroom use.
  • Processes donations and assists with weeding projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.Qualifications: High school degree or higher; reliability; responsibility; customer service skills; excellent communication skills; detail-oriented; ability to work both independently and cooperatively; proficiency in Microsoft products; ability to utilize multiple software applications; library experience a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the employment Visa.

Physical Demands: Employee must have the following abilities in order to perform essential job duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made: Sit or stand for extended periods; manual dexterity to handle library materials; communicate effectively orally or in writing; work extensively in front of a computer screen; complete repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently; reach above shoulder height, bend and lift; handle and push a fully-loaded book cart; rarely, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
