CalculateUnder the general supervision of the College Librarian, support the mission of the library and college by assuring customer services and access to materials meet the needs of the community.
Essential Functions:
Assists students, faculty, staff, and community members with their use of library services, resources and technology, including answering general reference questions online or in person, circulating materials and shelving returns, as well as troubleshooting library technology questions (hardware, software).
Assists with copy cataloging and select and edit records in online catalog integrated library management system.
Under the direction of the College Librarian, assess, process, organize and file archival materials including scanning selected items into electronic folders.
Processes interlibrary loan requests for students, staff, and faculty.
Responsible for stack maintenance, including shelf reading and inventory of all print materials.
Assists with collection maintenance and deselection of library materials.
Create book displays and write book & DVD reviews to promote the collection.
Manages library social media
Distributes overdue notices & manages end of semester holds. 10.May assists Library Operations Specialist in hiring, training and supervising library work study employees.

Associates degree required. Experience working in a library and/or community college setting preferred. Knowledge of internet and electronic library research databases or similar required. Strong computer/technology skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to students, patrons, and colleagues. Requires handling of book stacks weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to work varied hours including evenings. This is a part-time, year-round position.
Grade: Salary Range: $16.40 - $19.42
