Librarian 1: Young Adult & Children's Services

Town of South Windsor Public Library – AFSCME Local Union- Full Time (37.5 hours/week)- $32.54 hourly. Responsibilities include planning programs, developing and maintaining collections, and providing outreach services to local schools and organizations within the Children’s and Young Adult Department of the South Windsor Public Library. The focus of this position is young adult services, but it provides significant assistance with programming and services for children as well. Requires Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a master’s degree in Library Science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association. Minimum of one-year experience in customer service. Public library experience or relevant school library experience is required.
