Youth Services Librarian

The Melrose Park Public Library has an opening for a full-time Youth Services Librarian. Responsibilities encompass programming, outreach, reference, publicity, readers’ advisory, collection development, and the supervision of clerical staff. Requirements include a high competency in Microsoft Office products, familiarity with Canva, excellent verbal and written communication skills, in-depth knowledge of children’s literature, and innovative programming and story-time ideas.  Candidates must have an MLS degree or be working toward one with a concentration in Youth Services. Spanish language skills are a definite plus and a flexible attitude is a must.
