Youth Services Assistant, Teen Services

A Teen Services Assistant to plan and supervise new and innovative programs and services for tweens and teens and their families/caregivers; provide readers' advisory services and guidance in locating library materials; assist patrons in the use of library computers and online services; assist at the Patron Services desk; attend outreach events. Reports to the Head of Youth Services. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position. The schedule is Monday - Thursday from 12:30-8:30 pm, Friday from 9-5 pm, and a Saturday rotation of approximately one Saturday per month.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred; five years in a library setting with specialized knowledge and experience is preferred. Library students or NH Para-librarian candidates are encouraged to apply. Requires experience with computers, knowledge of young adult literature and experience working with youth, specifically with tweens and teens.

 Health, Dental, STD; Life Insurance. Paid vacation and sick time.

 $17.40-18.60/hour, depending on experience.
