The Town of Lantana seeks a part-time energetic, team-oriented Youth Services Librarian with a strong public service commitment. Under the direct supervision of the Library Director, this position would provide innovative library services and programming for youth services to a quickly growing and evolving library. The Youth Services Librarian provides stellar customer service and collaborates with coworkers to create great experiences for patrons and the community. The Youth Services Librarian loves educating patrons, making a difference in the community, and keeping up with emerging technologies. We are a small municipal library that has seen exponential growth since our 2023 1.5-million-dollar renovation. We have immense support from our Council, Manager, and community, so we have the ability to make big ideas happen with very little layers of bureaucracy. The right person will get experience in not only Youth Services, but Library Administration, Outreach, Marketing, and Town Administration, if so desired. While this position is up to 29 hours, we have confidence that we will be able to convert this position to FT in the near future, if it is demonstrated as needed (it is!)
