The Glencoe Children's Department is looking for a friendly book lover and curious lifelong learner to join our high-energy, close-knit team. Primary responsibilities include providing direct customer service to visitors during regular library hours. Perks include first looks at new books, the company of delightful children and families, and access to secret stashes of gummies and chocolate. A firm grasp of modern technology tools is essential.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree • Previous experience working with children (ages 0-12) • Previous work in retail, customer service, or public library

Schedule Averages 12-14 hours per week, including the following shifts: Required: Saturdays, 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday, hours to be established on hire.

Flexibility and availability to fill in for additional shifts as needed is highly desirable. Full job description
