Substitute Staff Librarian II

Want to “check out” something new at the Acton Town Library?  We are looking for qualified applicants for the position of Substitute Staff Librarian II.  

Duties: The successful candidate will provide reference assistance at various service desks in an extremely busy library with an opportunity for occasional extra hours during the week, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum Entrance Requirements:    ALA-accredited Masters degree in Library Science; 2 years of relevant library experience, including online searching, in a fully-automated library; strong customer service skills; working knowledge of current trends in library technology for users.

**Preferred Qualifications Include:  **  Public library reference experience and/or fluency in Chinese, Russian, or Brazilian Portuguese.
