As part of the Interlibrary Loan lending team, this position provides materials owned by Penn State to external libraries. The lending team also scans materials available in our Penn State collections for university faculty, staff, and students, via our document delivery service. The Interlibrary Loan team is comprised of 10 full-time staff members. In addition to lending materials to external libraries and providing scanning services for Penn State users, the ILL team borrows materials from external libraries for Penn State faculty, staff, and students. The department also handles office delivery services for University Park faculty, staff, and graduate students, and delivery of physical materials to world campus students. Primary Duties:

Serves as primary contact for questions related to digital delivery, and completes special scanning projects

Perform searches across multiple catalogs, databases, and web resources to locate requested materials

Participate in rotation with lending team members to process incoming and outgoing materials, and request queues in ILLiad.

Communicate with patrons and external libraries to address questions and resolve request issues

Collaborate with the ILL team and libraries colleagues to provide quality service for our users

This position requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of four years of relevant experience. The duties of this position must be performed primarily on-site at Pattee & Paterno Libraries; ILL staff are able to be scheduled for one day of remote work per week. Preferred experience includes: familiarity with ILLiad or Worldshare, experience with an integrated library system, and customer service experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
