Are you passionate about libraries and community engagement? The Lake County Library System is seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Program Specialist to join our team! This position will play a pivotal role in developing, coordinating, and managing innovative programs that serve our diverse community across 16 library locations.

Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and evaluate impactful library programs for all ages. • Collaborate with library staff and community partners to create engaging outreach and programming opportunities. • Promote library services through marketing campaigns, public presentations, and partnerships with local organizations. • Support library staff system-wide in coordinating special events and services. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of library programs through data collection, analysis, and community feedback.

Minimum Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program. • Experience in program development and management, with a passion for community outreach. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations and with various stakeholders.

This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Lake County typically hires close to or at the minimum of the salary range.

Education/Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Liberal Arts, Communications, Marketing or a related field with two (2) years of related experience.

May require a valid Florida driver's license.
