Part-Time Librarian – CT State Naugatuck Valley, Danbury Campus

CT State Community College Naugatuck Valley is hiring a part-time Librarian for our branch location in Danbury, CT. Directly reporting to the Director of Library Services, the part-time Librarian is responsible for providing information literacy instruction and reference services to students, staff, and faculty of the Danbury campus, working with the Danbury campus Library Associate, and overseeing the library resources including reserves and technology.

Total Compensation: $47.24 per hour

Work Schedule & Location: The selected candidate will be scheduled for 17 hours per week during the academic semester. This position requires a varied work schedule that would likely comprise of 4-5 hour shifts Monday through Thursday. This position may require additional flexibility to accommodate class schedules. The work location is CT State Naugatuck Valley Danbury Campus, 190 Main Street, Danbury CT.

Training and Experience: Graduation from an ALA accredited institution with a Master’s degree in Library Science is required and some professional library experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with Alma/Primo, instructing students on information literacy and library research skills, and have some fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or both.
