  • A rapidly growing center within an academic settingThe University Library is seeking to hire a Library Technical Assistant on a full-time basis at our Atlanta campus. The scope of the responsibilities will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following:
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
  • Participate in day-to-day operations of the User Services department.
  • Circulate library materials and equipment, process renewals and requests, and ensure patron privacy and maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Provide general computer and equipment support and basic software assistance.
  • Support and promote library services.
  • Responsible for opening the University Library.
  • Assist in the management of library material requests and oversee workflows for shipping materialsDisclaimer: This job requisition provides a high-level job definition. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and three years of experience.Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
  • Recent experience in a college or university library.
  • Knowledge of library circulation processes in an automated environment
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Excellent problem solving and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency of Excel or similar application.College/Business Unit: University Library
