Summary of Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollows policies and procedures as well as established standards in the field. Manages significant projects as assigned by supervisor. Prepares various library resources (either electronic or print) for discoverability using established methods.

  • Works with metadata and print and/or electronic library resources in specific online programs and systems.
  • May manage large projects from beginning to completion, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follows University Libraries' policies and procedures as well as established standards in the field.
  • Develops and documents new workflows when appropriate.
  • Applies fundamentals and values of libraries and/or archives to various situations.
  • Able to build in-depth understanding of how individual work tasks impact library services as a whole.
  • Projects may include digital or physical materials either owned or accessed by University Libraries.
  • Supervision of student employees may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Four years project management, database, and/or report writing experience. Additional college education and related experience may be exchanged year for year to meet experience requirements.
  • Ability to think critically, attend to details, and work accurately following verbal or written directions.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Typing; some professional development and related training required.

Hourly Rate/Annual Salary$16.41 (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications)

Staff Grade105

Work Hours: Normal working hours. May need to drive/travel occasionally to attend trainings.

Physical Demands

  • Some moving of heavy bound volumes.
