Lake County Library System is searching for a dynamic, forward-thinking Librarian II to lead our youth programming efforts and expand into exciting family and adult initiatives. This isn’t just about story time—though you’ll champion our annual Summer Reading Program in collaboration with 16 libraries! You’ll also:

• Oversee and innovate our system-wide youth, family, and adult programming • Manage the annual Summer Reading Program and partner with youth staff across all branches • Design and lead our library-wide employee training and orientation program

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in public library youth services, who’s ready to stretch their wings into broader programming and staff development. You’ll be part educator, part mentor, part event-planner extraordinaire—impacting the lives of residents from toddlers to seniors. MLS is required. Lake County typically hires close to or at the minimum of the salary range.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited College or University with two (2) years of experience of which one has been in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
