Library Director

Location: Mapleton, Iowa

The Fisher-Whiting Memorial Library is seeking a new Library Director due to retirement. Below are the details regarding the position:

Duties:

• Plan and implement programs
• Supervise staff
• Manage budgets for library finances
• Maintain bookkeeping of library data
• Catalog new materials and purchase items for various library areas
• Conduct monthly board meetings
• Foster a positive relationship with the Monona County Library Association

Qualifications:

• Previous library experience is required.
• A Masters in Library Science is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Completion of the State of Iowa’s Library certification within the first year is required.

Salary:

• Range: $38,000 to $45,000, depending on qualifications.
• Position includes IPERS and benefits.
