Library Director

The Town of Cheshire (Population: 28,733) seeks highly qualified, innovative and energetic candidates to apply for the position of Library Director (Classification: E-4; Anticipated salary range $110,000 to $125,000 DOQ). To be considered for this position an applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Library Science and at least three years of library administrative experience and five or more years prior library work.

The Cheshire Library is a 33,000 square foot facility, open 62 hours per week with over 90,000 items in its collection, a staff of 19 full-time and 5 part-time employees, the equivalent of 21.14 full-time positions and a FY25 operating budget of $1,819,453.
