Job Description: What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Library Catalog Management Support (LIS IV) to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Library Collections, Systems, & Digital Services division by assisting with high priority database maintenance projects, particularly withdrawal projects, and helping maintain the quality of catalog data within our discovery service, OneSearch.

A Bachelor's Degree is required. Three years of experience is preferred.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • In consultation with collection development and the Assistant Director of CAMS, coordinate and assist with high priority database maintenance projects, such as withdrawals, reinstates, and transfer of materials from the Moody and Jones Libraries as needed
  • Correct problems identified by stacks maintenance and circulation personnel, including problems identified through inventory projects
  • Identify and resolve errors in the online catalog, including those resulting from system migration
  • Assist in maintaining the Libraries' holdings in OCLC WorldCat
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
