Description

Brown County Library is seeking a creative collaborator and team focused individual to serve as Deputy Director. This role oversees and coordinates library operations across 8 branches and a bookmobile. They lead the organization in providing outstanding service through daily interactions and impactful programming. As a key member of the Library’s Leadership Team, they lead strategic planning of library services and allocation of resources.  

Specific duties include:

• Direct the work of 4 Branch Managers, the Central Library Manager, and the Bookmobile Manager
• Develop and maintain collaborations with community and County partners
• Coordinate programming across all locations
• Create a safe and welcoming customer experience
• Ensure consistent implementation of policy and procedures throughout the library
• Create, update, and interpret library policy and procedure

BCL is a dedicated place for information, entertainment, community, and culture. Founded in 1968, Brown County Library was the first county-wide library system in the state of Wisconsin. The library consists of 8 branches and a bookmobile.
