- Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites applications for a full-time [180-day], tenure-track Librarian. The Curriculum and Information Services Librarian, in collaboration with other librarians and staff, leads the planning and implementation of all Library information services including evidence-based information literacy instruction, reference, and collection development that supports a variety of associate and bachelor level programs at the College.

The Curriculum and Information Services Librarian is a key member of the Library and College community who provides a broad range of research, scholarly support, and instruction services to faculty, staff, and students. This position works closely with the College community to connect research and information needs with library resources and services and is responsible for maintaining statistics and preparing reports as required.
Essential Duties:Instruction
- Information Literacy Instruction Coordination: Designs, implements, and assesses an engaging and comprehensive evidence-based information literacy program in collaboration with librarians, faculty, and students. Schedules, delivers, and evaluates instruction sessions. Creates instructional materials for diverse audiences and collaborates with faculty to integrate information literacy and embed library resources and instructional materials into courses.
- Pedagogical Development: Deploys effective pedagogical strategies in compliance with accessibility guidelines, higher education standards, and best practice. Develops student learning outcomes for instruction sessions, individual programs, and the information literacy program aligned with the College's mission and institutional learning outcomes. Stays current with and applies trends in education, curricular structures, and pedagogical methods. Works with faculty to achieve information literacy objectives and supports course development and projects.
- Program Improvement: Supports continuous improvement of instructional programs and practices by conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and contributing to departmental assessment projects. Collaborates with faculty and administrators to assess college-wide instructional and research needs.
- Information Services
- Reference: Provides general and subject-specific information and research assistance through various communication modes, including in-person, virtual/video, phone, email, and chat to students, faculty, and staff. Creates and maintains research guides and other learning objects. Provides general outreach to the college community.
- Database Management: Develops and maintains expertise in library databases, search interfaces, and other resources. Develops and refines complex search strategies and offers guidance on citation management. Directs and maintains catalog usability and accessibility.
- Collection Development
- Budget Management: Maintains allotted budget for Library resources. Tracks, analyzes and shares usage and expenditure data.
- Collection Maintenance: Leads the selection and de-selection of resources to support curricular needs, collaborating with the Library team, College faculty, and students.Minimum Qualifications:

- Familiarity with creation and maintenance of Digital Learning Objects (DLOs), including videos, tutorials, and library guides.
- Instructional experience.Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of information literacy instruction experience.
- Previous experience with curriculum/instructional design.
- Previous experience with collection development and budget maintenance.
- Previous experience with Springshare LibApps (LibGuides, LibCal, LibWizard).
- Previous experience with Alma/Primo.
- Previous experience with front-end UX and/or UI design.
- Previous experience working with Open Education Resources (OER), artificial intelligence (AI), Copyright law.
- Previous experience working in a community college or other academic community.
