Community Engagement Coordinator

The Park Forest Public Library is looking for an energetic, personable innovator to fill the position of Community Engagement Coordinator.

Exceptional applicants will be:

• Communicators who work with patrons in and out of the library

• **Problem solvers **who are logical thinkers with strong analytical skills

• Collaborators who use coworkers’ strengths to develop new projects

Job responsibilities include:

• Plan programs of interest to adults and the general public.
• Represent the library in the community.
• Make connections with local organizations.
• Create consistent print and electronic messages in support of Library services.
• Maintain the library’s social media presence and website. 
• Responsible for the library’s newsletter, program flyers, digital signage, and other print publications such as postcards, bookmarks, fundraising materials, and informational brochures related to library services. 
• Prepare library signs and displays as needed.

Qualifications:

• Three years of work experience and high school diploma or bachelor’s degree
• MLS degree preferred

Compensation:

• Starts at $26/hour (IMRF Pension, Benefit time, Optional health insurance)
• 35 hours per week
