Circulation Assistant

The La Grange Park Public Library is seeking a friendly team player for the position of Circulation Assistant. This position is a part time, non-exempt position. This person will be part of a team responsible for welcoming patrons in person and via the phone, assisting the public at the circulation desk, registering new patrons, shelving library materials, and other duties as assigned. 

Evening and weekend work is required.

Hours:

Tuesdays 11-5

Thursdays 11-5

Saturdays 9-3

Qualifications:

High school diploma and minimum one year of work experience in a customer focused environment; library experience preferred

Ability to sort both numerically and alphabetically

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to successfully operate common computer applications
