Branch Librarian - Wollaston Branch (Full-Time)

Full-Time / 35 hours per week Professional Librarian IV, Range 3

The Branch Librarian works at the Wollaston Branch providing direction, operation and supervision, as well as direct service to constituents of all ages, supervision or staff, substitutes, volunteers, and interns. Plans and schedules branch library activities and  programs and assists in the development and implementation of branch library policies and  procedures; monitors facility maintenance, and performs all other work as required.

Qualifications

Must have an M.L.S. from an ALA-accredited library school, and a demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education; A minimum of five to seven years of professional public library experience providing direct circulation and readers/media advisory services to children, teens and adults; Must have broad knowledge of the principles and practices of public library work, including circulation, reference, information, readers/media advisory, and children’s services; Must have experience planning and delivering programs for children and adults.
