Orders library materials selected by faculty and librarians, including physical and electronic books, videos, and other material types.

Monitors email, vendor platforms, and the materials request form submissions to obtain selections.

Oversees ordering for Bradley and New Faculty Grants. Communicates with vendors, foreign and domestic, to answer questions and resolve problems regarding orders and approval plans.

Processes invoices for approval and payment.

Verifies receipt of items.

Claims and cancels orders as necessary.

Creates, updates, and tracks orders in Alma which includes bibliographic searching, encumbering funds, upload or manually creates invoice records, receives items, and closes out paid items.

Consults with electronic resources, serials, and cataloging colleagues as necessary.

Liaises with library colleagues and faculty in specific subject areas.

Answers questions about firm and approval orders, fund allocations, and grant status.

Develops expertise in special subject area collection needs such as foreign languages, researching and purchasing rare items, and format issues.

Purchases materials using purchase orders, billing, SpearMart, and university assigned p-card.

Oversees assigned budget areas.

Tracks spending, invoices, and payments in Alma and Omni.

Coordinates with UBA colleagues as needed.

Develops and distributes reports on budgets, items paid, claims, and title acquisitions as needed.

Maintains records and files per UBA guidelines.

Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.

Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of the policies and practices of library services.
