Youth Services Associate

**Primary Responsibilities **

• Provide reference assistance and readers' advisory service 

• Assist with various projects for the department

• Provide instruction on the Library’s digital offerings and e-sources to patrons & staff

• Assist in the operation of the Youth Services computer area 

• Keep current on age appropriate materials for children

• Stay current regarding library technology and trends

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Library Technical Assistant (LTA) Certificate required

• Library experience preferred

• Ability to work with children in an individual and group setting

Salary / Schedule

• $16.00/hour

• Part-time, 17 hours/week

• Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (9:00a-1:00p) and Fridays (1:00p-6:00p)
