Position Description Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in carrying out departmental objectives in a unit of a department.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Embraces the Values-Based Culture of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accuracy of eBook holdings by routinely checking for broken links and other access issues.
  • Maintains accuracy of OCLC holdings by removing holdings of Items no longer in the collection.
  • Downloads, edits, and copy catalogs eBook records in the ILS.
  • Creates and edits physical item records and processes physical items as needed.
  • Records physical item cataloging statistics.
  • Works with administration to order supplies for the department as needed.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two years of job-related experience; OR a combination of education and/or experience to equal six years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to learn and adopt new technology and trends
  • Library experience, especially working with electronic resources and/or within a technical services department
  • Experience working with Integrated Library Systems (such as Koha), an Electronic Resources Management tool (such as Gold Rush), MarcEdit, and/or OCLC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Pay Basis: Hourly

Pay Grade Minimum Salary commensurate with education, experience and/or skills.
