View more recent job openings →This is a professional Library position. The Teen Librarian performs advanced and complex Library services in conjunction with selection, maintenance, reference, and circulation of library materials to meet the needs of the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical ability to work with teens
Requires sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ability to lift/move books up to 40 pounds and full library carts
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally orally and in writing and exchange accurate information with staff and library patrons
Requires ability to effectively and efficiently operate basic office and programming equipment (e.g. computer, printer, copier, telephone, fax machine, paper cutter, laminating machine, smart TVs, media projectors, video game systems, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited Library school
**Experience: **One year related experience working with teens
Skills: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and professionalism to create positive interaction with patrons (especially teens), staff, and others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
1. Knowledge of office productivity software (MS Office or similar), basic Internet applications, e-reading devices, and mobile apps
2. Ability and willingness to learn new and emerging technologies as requested or needed
3. Must be dependable, accurate, and responsible
4. Ability to prioritize work, remain focused, and pay close attention to detail
