WNYLRC is hiring! Do you love working with unique and historical collections? If you do, this is a great full-time position that provides opportunities to work with member libraries in assessing their special collections for digitization and adding to one of our multiple digital platforms. This position requires an understanding of metadata standards for digital collections.  The successful candidate will have the skill and personality to build collegial relationships with various groups and organizations such as staff at member libraries, vendors, local archival community groups, WNYLRC committees, and other Council colleagues across the state. WNYLRC supports our statewide association NYLA and is involved in other statewide groups to support libraries of all types. 

The Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) is a dynamic multi-type library system located in Buffalo, NY with an exceptional team of professionals who prioritize innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.  We are a member driven not-for-profit organization that provides services to libraries and library systems in six counties in Western New York. We work with public, school, academic, hospital, archives, and special libraries to share resources, highlight our regional collections, and leverage expertise across the region. 

Candidates are required to have completed or nearly completed a Masters in Library Science or equivalent, and who can demonstrate their communication and interpersonal skills during the interview.  The position requires regional and occasional statewide overnight travel.  WNYLRC offers NYS retirement benefits, health insurance and exceptional accrued sick, vacation, and personal time.
