Join the vibrant and growing Lake County Library System as the Senior Branch Supervisor at the Cagan Crossings Community Library! We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and service-oriented professional to lead our dynamic team and serve the diverse and evolving needs of our community. As Senior Branch Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the Cagan Crossings branch, providing exceptional leadership, managing staff, and promoting library services to engage patrons of all ages. Lake County typically hires close to or at the minimum of the salary range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a talented team of library staff, fostering an environment of collaboration and exceptional public service.
  • Oversee daily branch operations, including children’s services, adult services, circulation, and collection management.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and community outreach initiatives.
  • Partner with local organizations and schools to promote library services.
  • Ensure the library remains a welcoming and inclusive space for all patrons.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Passion for community engagement and staff development.

Education/Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a master’s degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association.

Requires valid Florida Driver’s license.

Requires four years of related experience, at least three of which have been in a supervisory capacity.
