School Liaison

Are you passionate about storytimes and STEAM activities? Do you want to ensure that the adults of tomorrow have a strong foundation for reading and love of their local library? Then come work for our Youth Services team at the Lansing Public Library! We are searching for a School Liaison that has the qualities of creativity, passion, empathy and compassion for children ages 5-10 in our community. 

The responsibilities include time at the youth service desk, planning and conducting programs, and outreach to our local daycares and preschools. You will also be part of a larger organization whose mission is to foster literacy and be the cultural hub of the community.  If you feel up to the challenge then please send your resume, cover letter, availability, and three professional references to Beth Bozzo at the Lansing Public Library. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree required.

• 2-3 year library experience including public desk and storytime experience.

• Experience with an automated ILS preferably SirsiDynix

• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

• Must work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Background check required.
