The Libraries at CU Boulder encourage applications for an RFID Tagging Project Assistant!

This position is a three-month temporary staff position that will report to the Branch Operations Manager for the Engineering, Math, & Physics Library. This position will work to tag Gemmill Library Collection with RFID tags as part of the RFID Pilot Project. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

RFID Tagging the Gemmill Collection:Train and become familiar with the Bibliotheca RFID Conversion Stations.

  • Work with supervisor to implement a workflow to tag each individual item in the Gemmill Collection with RFID.
  • Collaborate with student assistants specific to the project.
  • Help to refine the proposed workflow as tagging begins.
  • Work requires movement throughout the Norlin Basement stacks, along with retrieving materials from stacks that require a ladder and rolling full book carts.What You Should Know
  • This is a temporary, full time position anticipated to last 3 months. This role is working on-site.What We Can Offer

The hiring rate for is $19.00 per hour.

What We Require

  • One year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Ability to push approximately 50 lbs. on specialized carts, working with a colleague.What You Will Need
  • Proven ability to consistently meet non-negotiable timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
