Reference Librarian, Part Time Evenings

Part Time position for 8 hours per week beginning in January 2025 at the latest. Requires Monday and Thursday evenings in Reference and Information Services Department. Schedule: Monday and Thursday 5-9 pm. Duties: Provide direct onsite, Email, Chat and Telephone Reference services including patron assistance and instruction in the use of online databases. Creates and maintains library web pages as needed. $24.50 per hour. No benefits. The library uses the WorldCat OPAC, OCLC WorldShare Management Services, and LibGuides in a multi-platform computer environment, and is committed to increasing access to electronic databases. 

Qualifications

MLS/ALA; experience providing research and Reference assistance to a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff; computer literacy in a multi-platform environment; ability to work effectively in a team setting; and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community and to foster a culture of inclusion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with WorldCat and Libguides. Women, persons of color, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
