Patron Services Manager

Do you have a passion for public service? Are you excited about library services and helping people? Can you help to motivate and guide a team to be successful? We are seeking an empathetic and energetic individual to manage and coordinate the Patron Services Dept. This person will be a member of our leadership team at a medium-sized public library in the far south Chicago suburbs. This department is responsible for patron accounts and handles the circulation of library materials, including creation of library cards, checkout of materials to patrons, and check-in of materials upon their return, among many other duties.

Qualifications:

• BA, or LTA certification, with 5 years of public service experience. Library experience preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and cover shifts as needed.
• Access to reliable transportation.
