Patron Services Coordinator

The Seneca Public Library District is seeking a detail oriented Patron Services Coordinator with a passion for customer service. We are looking for a tech-savvy individual who has excellent project management skills and knowledge of the Sierra library system. Library covers 100% of employee's health/dental insurance premiums. Other benefits include contribution to employee’s HSA account, participation in IMRF, and generous vacation and sick time.

Responsibilities: Act as resource person for the library staff for daily operations of the patron services. Sustain adequate staff coverage during the library open hours. Ensure that patron services staff are well-trained. Supervise Library Page. Prepare and maintain departmental procedures, records, statistics, and reports. Oversee interlibrary loan requests. Serve as the liaison with PrairieCat and RAILS. Update the library website and social media.

Skills: Understanding of circulation and interlibrary loan practices. Thorough knowledge of the Sierra library system, PrairieCat, and WorldCat Discovery. Ability to update the library website and Facebook.  Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications: Minimum three years of relevant library experience and associate degree.
