Patron Services Coordinator

The Seneca Public Library District is seeking a detail oriented Patron Services Coordinator with a passion for customer service. We are looking for a tech-savvy individual who has excellent project management skills and knowledge of the Sierra library system. Benefits include 100% coverage of employee health and dental insurance premiums, contribution to HSA account, participation in IMRF as well as generous paid time off.  Responsibilities: •    Act as resource person for the library staff for daily operations of the patron services. •    Sustain adequate staff coverage during the library open hours. •    Ensure that patron services staff are well-trained. •    Supervise Library Page. •    Prepare and maintain departmental procedures, records, statistics, and reports. •    Oversee interlibrary loan requests.  •    Serve as the liaison with PrairieCat and RAILS. •    Update the library website and maintain social media. •    Participate in professional networking and development. •    Other duties as assigned. Skills:         •    Understanding of circulation and interlibrary loan practices.      •    Thorough knowledge of the Sierra library system, PrairieCat, and World Cat Discovery. •    Ability to update the library website and Facebook.  •    Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills. Qualifications:                                                                                                                       Minimum three years of relevant library experience and associate degree.
