Horuly Rate $25.50

This part-time librarian position reports to the Assistant University Librarian for Teaching, Research, and Engagement. Provides face-to-face and online research assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Provides instruction sessions and one-on-one assistance with EndNote citation management software and Covidence software. Develops and maintains online research guides as assigned. May serve on library committees as assigned. Works twenty-one hours weekly. Schedule may include some evenings and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides research assistance in accordance with the library's mission and user service guidelines.
• Provides instruction and assistance with citation management and Covidence software.
• Works collaboratively with faculty and other librarians to create online research guides and tutorials.
• Provides instruction through individual consultations, classes, and online presentations.
• Serves the library through participation in committees and task forces as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. from an American Library Association accredited institution
• Experience answering reference questions
• Effective instructional skills including the ability to develop instructional videos and tutorials
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse user groups including students, faculty, staff, and other library users
• Ability to work in a collaborative work environment and maintain positive professional working relationships with disciplinary faculty members, supervisors, and peers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using EndNote or other citation management software
• Experience creating online research guides and tutorials
• Educational background or experience working in STEM or Health Science
• Master's degree in an academic discipline
