Outreach & Content Creation Assistant

St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Job Responsibilities

Outreach & Communications

• Liaison to campus student groups, including attending occasional relevant meetings and events in the evenings (up to once a month)
• Collaborate with library staff to develop and promote library services
• Coordinate with campus departments and groups to market library services
• Design physical and digital library displays, including new books and archives and special collections with an emphasis on diverse perspectives and materials
• Create fliers, posters, and other marketing materials
• Maintain social media presence, including developing schedule for posting and analyzing engagement
• Assist with campus-wide library communications, including drafting emails and reports, writing library newsletters
• Host library outreach events, for example tabling and satellite checkout, campus involvement festivalsDigital Learning & Content Creation
• Assist with video tutorial review and management
• Work collaboratively with staff on content review process
• Under the direction of the Assessment & Online Program Librarian, review and update digital learning objects for accessibility and best practicesGeneral Duties

Required

• Associate degree or higher
• At least 1-2 years workplace experiencePreferred
• Library experience
• Web content creationCompetencies / Skills
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies

• Able to work independently to achieve stated goals
• Comfortable working as part of a team
