Library Director

Aaron Cutler Memorial Library, located in Litchfield NH, is seeking an innovative, energetic, community-minded person to fill the position of Library Director.

Position Responsibilities

The Library Director serves as an important community resource to the Town of Litchfield, performing supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, and directing all library services.

This includes:

• Oversight of all daily library operations
• Monitoring and managing the library budget
• Collection management and copy cataloging
• Patron newsletter and social media
• Repair and maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds
• Hiring, supervising, and evaluating personnel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with three-five years of direct experience in library operations, including personnel management, collection development, fiscal management, program development, and facility management. A Master's degree in Library Science is desirable.

Salary

Full-time (32 hours) salaried position with benefits package, including health and dental insurance, and annual leave. Salary starts at $50,985 and is commensurate with experience.
