Job Description: What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Library Acquisition Specialist (LIS IV) to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Library Collections, Systems, & Digital Services division by facilitating academic excellence through library services, particularly in the arenas of supplying materials essential for student success, academic research, and life-long learning. The four cornerstones of our objectives are collaborative campus engagement in the selection of resources, efficient content delivery and management, effective description that facilitates discovery, and intuitive arrangement of our physical and digital collections. Essential functions for this position include supplying materials to students, faculty, and staff through the purchasing of monographs in both electronic and physical formats. Duties include working directly with external vendors to provide efficient, cost-effective access to library materials.

A Bachelor's Degree is required. A Master's Degree and three years of experience is preferred.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
