Position Details:

The Opportunity:

As the Library & Archives Paraprofessional 2, your primary responsibility is to lead the unit's student temporary employees, which includes training, assigning, monitoring, and correcting their work, to meet unit quality standards for public service and/or stack maintenance tasks. In this position your regularly scheduled hours are Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm during Fall and Spring Semesters and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm during Summer session. With appropriate notice your schedule may vary during academic intersessions or for other unit needs.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3,239 - $4,299 | Range 037, Step A through M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience in the functional operations of a library or archives. Equivalent education or experience will substitute.

  • One year of experience beyond the entry level in Access Services.
  • Ability and willingness to work regular nights and weekends.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
