a great place to live and work that
offers an active lifestyle with recreational and cultural activities including theater, music, hiking, skiing, and sports teams, in an area offering lower housing costs and great schools. Tulare County is centrally located in California’s San Joaquin Valley, between Fresno and Bakersfield, with a growing population of 465,861 covering over 4,800 square miles. An agriculturally rich region, the County is one of the top three agricultural producing counties in the nation. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Pixley National Wildlife Refuge, Golden Trout and Domeland Wilderness areas, and Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park lie within the County’s boundaries. Its central location is only hours away from San Luis Obispo, Yosemite, Monterey, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and Sacramento.
