Work collaboratively to provide top-notch library services, plan and perform programming, and grow your leadership skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Lake County typically hires close to or at the minimum of the salary range.

We’re looking for a candidate who has a strong sense of customer service (always seeking a positive outcome), a focus on collaborative problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of how youth and family programming brings people together inside and outside the library.  Someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of the branch team to provide concierge-level customer service and youth programming will be an excellent fit for this professional team.

Performs professional and administrative work in the provision of effective library services to the citizens of Lake County. Is responsible for participating in youth services work and programming, to include reference services, literacy services, collection development and maintenance and/or technical services according to area(s) of assignment.

Shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field from an American Library Association accredited college or university with at least one (1) year of related experience.

May require a valid Florida driver's license.
