Kids' Library Assistant

Typical Day Involves:

• Helping children and adults discover amazing library materials and providing fun reading suggestions 

• Planning and presenting children’s programming including makerspace classes 

• Keeping the library collection fresh by ordering new materials and retiring old ones 

• Organizing and ordering programming and office supplies

• Tracking statistical data

• Working a weekly shift in the makerspace assisting patrons in the use of the equipment

**We Are Looking for Candidates with: **

• High school diploma or GED

• At least one year experience working with children

• Strong public service skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Flexibility to learn and use various technology platforms such as Cricut, Canva, and Adobe Illustrator

Hourly Rate, Schedule

• **Hourly Rate: ** $18.02 

• **Weekly Hours: ** 20
