Class Description The purpose of this class is to support library services staff in handling, organizing, processing, and displaying special collections materials, including objects from the Catonsville Historical Society collection. Positions available on the Catonsville campus. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED, and one (1) year of prior experience working with the public or in a library/museum setting. Class Specific Essential Duties Assist library staff in creating displays and display signage.

  1. Photograph collection objects.
  2. Organize files and folders.
  3. Edit records for library inventory/accession lists.
  4. Move and organize object storage.
  5. Research items in the collection at the direction of library staff.
  6. Using research, draft descriptions of items at the direction of library staff.
  7. Seek assistance from supervisor for issues when required.
