Under the general supervision of the Circulation and User Services Manager, participate in all evening activities of the Circulation, Reserves and Media Commons public services desks; provide research support to students, faculty and guests while participating in the activities of the research desk.; train and supervise student assistants staffing the desks; prepare materials to be placed on reserve, physically maintain library collections, and assist library users with a wide range of services. Responsible for closing and securing the library nightly.

Essential Functions

• Assist and participate in library operations during evening and weekend hours, including oversight of campus library branches
• Assist with management activities for 15-20 student employees
• Coordinate shelving, shifting and other activities related to the maintenance of library stacks and collections
• Participate in resource sharing activities, including CBB (Colby, Bates, Bowdoin), MaineCat and Bowdoin Library Take-Out

Salary: 18.65 - 19.10
