DIRECTOR, PERU PUBLICE LIBRARY

Position opens January 1,  2025

The Peru Public Library seeks a qualified candidate to serve in the part time position of Library Director and report to the Boa of Trustees.  The director will oversee the library functions, including material selection, collection development, acquisition, oversight of the library building, grounds, public relations and technology.  The person will work with the Trustees to develop library policies, programs and  procedures including meetings and developing the annual budget.  The person will promote library services and participate in fundraising and development activities.  The director is also responsible for financial activities together with the outside public accounting firm.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate shall have a bachelor's degree and experience in professional library  work or similar fields.  He/she should have excellent interpersonal skills.  Non-profit experience is preferred.
