Coordinates and organizes operations of a library unit and maintains responsibility and accountability for the unit's services. Also, Manages digital records and provides leadership in ensuring information is managed in accordance with the established policies.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the library information literacy instruction program at all locations and online through the embedded librarian program including working with dual credit instructors and the prison education program.
  • Strategic Planning, Development, Implementation, and providing Leadership for the unit
  • Responsible for all financial duties of each campus library requesting funds through budget process, capital and current expense allocations, and any Perkins grant funding for the library.
  • Supervise all librarian faculty and staff employees and provide necessary training.
  • Library webpages on college website.
  • Collecting, evaluating and reporting all library service statistics.
  • Responsible for the library collection development program to support the curriculum.
  • Responsible for cataloging library materials for each campus.
  • Responsible for the interlibrary loan program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in library science or library and information science from an ALA accredited program

  • Three to five years of experience in an academic library, or combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of the position
