Position Summary: The School of Information at the University of South Florida (USF) seeks to fill one nine-month, full-time, non-tenure-earning, instructional faculty position. A doctorate or master’s degree in Library and Information Science with 3-5 years of experience is required.

Application reviews will begin immediately. Appointment is expected to begin August 7, 2025 (Fall 2025 semester). Salary is negotiable. Positions are open until October 18, 2024  at 11:59pm. Review of applications will begin immediately upon receipt.

**About the School: ** The USF School of Information is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, which consists of 23 academic departments and a number of highly collaborative and interdisciplinary centers and institutes. The School of Information enjoys a strong tradition of educating information professionals in a variety of settings. The School currently offers three degree programs: a M.A. in Library and Information Science, which has been continually accredited by the American Library Association since 1974; a STEM-based M.S. in Intelligence Studies, which offers concentrations in Cyber Intelligence and Strategic Intelligence; and a B.S. in Information Science with available concentrations in Data Science and Analytics, Information Security, Health Informatics, Web Development Technologies, and Intelligence Analysis.

Education/Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: A doctorate or master's degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited institution with 3-5 years of experience is required. For candidates applying for the Assistant Instructor, a Master's degree is required. For candidates applying for the Assistant Professor of Instruction, a Doctorate degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who have experience developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate online courses in Information Science. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in working with culturally diverse groups.
