Assistant Branch Manager

Troup-Harris Regional Library System

The Troup-Harris Regional Library is seeking dynamic and community-oriented individuals to be the Assistant Branch Manager for the LaGrange Memorial Library.  Major duties include oversight of the circulation desk and staff, coordinates programming and special events for all ages, creates marketing materials to publicize programs and services, statistics management, and assists in recruiting and organizing the work of volunteers.

A commitment to community, effective communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and an ability to think creatively are some of the highlights of a candidate of interest.  An ability to share the Library’s mission, vision, and strategic plan with the community, success in generating new interest and partnerships with public and private entities, and a history of achievement working as a leader in a public library setting will be the preferred elements of an ideal candidate.  Come join us in building new libraries and crafting new approaches to delivering high-quality library services

Salary: Based on Qualifications

Certification  Required: No

Qualifications Bachelor’ Degree (BA or BS) required.  Candidates must have a demonstrated ability or experience in organizing and/or leading a growing library unit.  In addition, candidates must have knowledge sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of system wide sub-units, as demonstrated in related public library experience.
