JOB TITLE:

Archives Aide/Anaconda Collection/Reference Department

JOB PURPOSE:

Support the work for patron requests within the Anaconda Geological Documents Collection in the Reference Unit at the American Heritage Center.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**Conduct searches in the Anaconda Database

  • Minor filing
  • Conduct retrievals and returns of Anaconda Collection materials (often includes use of a ladder)
  • Bend and lift up to 30 safely
  • Execute copy and scan orders (using standard size copier, flat-bed scanner, and/or oversize map scanner)
  • Minor digital editing and watermarking
  • Complete appropriate duplication order tracking/project log forms
  • Maintain quality of scans/copies
  • Other duties as assigned.REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

AVAILABILITY:

The position offers 15-19 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Class schedules will be given priority when scheduling work hours. Starting pay is $10.50 per hour with raise structure in place.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Willingness to learn

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently or with the team
  • Takes initiative, anticipates needs of patrons
  • Comfortable working on a ladder
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft products, the Windows operating system, Adobe Products, GNU Image Manipulation Program, and ZoomREQUIRED MATERIALS:
